📷 Library Snapshots
The Friends of the Library of Greene County team was ready to greet visitors at the Del Webb 100 Women Who Care Expo! Attendees who stopped by the table learned how they could help support their local library through volunteering and membership. The team shared information on how the Friends of the Library works to fund programs, purchase equipment, and advocate for the community's reading needs.
 
The ribbon has been cut on the Storywalk on the Firefly Trail - Greene County, GA! If you have not been out to read our first story, please head out in this lovely weather! Tween/Teen Murder Mystery Game
Author, Historian, and Archaeologist Robert Skarda delivered an amazing presentation covering the fascinating, little-known history of Greene County, Georgia, including its first paper mill, an ancient mound culture, a major Native American trading path, and the local connection to Rev. A.D. Williams, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s grandfather.

Libraries With Heart! 

Thanks to a partnership with Augusta State University, all AZRLS libraries now offer patrons the ability to check out or use in-house blood pressure kits. The Libraries with Heart kits, provided by the American Heart Association, include a validated monitor and cuff, educational materials, instructions for taking blood pressure at home, an explanation of blood pressure numbers, a log for recording readings, and a list of local health care providers available to answer questions. All materials are available in both English and Spanish. Check one out today!
