In Suzanne Collins' "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," readers are transported back to the post-apocalyptic world of Panem. Set before the events of "The Hunger Games" trilogy, this prequel delves into the early life of a young Coriolanus Snow, the future tyrannical President of Panem. As Snow navigates the tenth Hunger Games as a mentor, he finds himself caught between ambition, loyalty, and the stark realities of a society on the brink of revolution, ultimately shaping his dark and complex path to power.
