Minerva Keen is the absolute best kid detective Chicago has ever seen, and she's hungry for a new mystery to solve with her friends. But a know-it-all new girl, Zoe, tries to take control of MK's detective club. Worse still, Ms. Claire Voyant, who has always had a soft spot for Minerva, takes Zoe's side. It's clear to Minerva that someone...or something has taken over her favorite teacher. Add in terrifying nightmares, the return of Minerva's parents (who come home with more dangerous baggage than just their luggage), and some shocking developments--MK's Detective Club might have more mysteries than they can solve. With nowhere to turn, the club walks right into danger...and the stakes just might be deadly.
In The Ageless Brain, Dr. Bredesen will share the latest, cutting-edge science on neurodegeneration, including how misunderstandings of the disease have hindered our efforts to treat it, as well as a preventative program that readers of all ages can put into practice to optimize their cognitive health now and sustain it for years to come. This is a book for everyone who cares about their ability to stay sharp and independent for a lifetime, for those who have witnessed family members decline, and for the many readers who are beginning to experience moments of brain fog or fatigue in middle age, and are concerned about what the future may hold. Just as bestselling authors like Dr. Peter Attia and Dr. Michael Greger have offered essential guidance for maintaining overall health and longevity, Dr. Bredesen has written the only book readers need to retain their vibrant minds--and thrive for a lifetime.

In July, Colby, Morgan County Library Manager, delivered Books for Babies bags to the Morgan County Health Department! These bags provide new parents/guardians, grandparents, and caregivers with a soft baby book and valuable information on the library resources and programs. We're excited to support initiatives like 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten and the PINES PLAY card, all aimed at fostering a love for reading and promoting literacy throughout our entire community. This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Georgia Public Library Service.
At the library, kids can read, learn, create, and connect! PINES critters can help young readers discover new books and become lifelong learners. Explore the updated PINES Kids catalog. If you’re a PINES library cardholder, you can find and reserve kids books from over 300 Georgia libraries. Search for dinosaurs, princesses, award winners, and more. Check it out at gapines.org/kpac
