Below are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. Please contact your local library if you need more information or have a question not addressed on this page.
How do I contact the library?
To contact the library, please select your local library’s webpage and select Contact Us from the side menu. You may also view library hours, employment information, and any public or general announcements specific to the library from the side menu.
When will the library reopen?
The library remains closed to the public, at this time. However, we are offering contact-free curbside service by appointment only.
Curbside service hours: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri: 10am-5pm; Thurs: 1pm-7pm; Saturday: 10am-2pm.
You can place holds with the PINES app or though the PINES website. If you use the website, you will have to log into your PINES account in order to place holds. Once your books are available, we will call you and schedule a pick-up time for you to get your books. Please let us know if you have any other questions, need more information, or want some help with the PINES app or with your PINES account.
How do I place a hold for curbside pick-up?
You can place holds through the PINES app (both Apple and Android versions) or through the PINES website. If you use the library website, you will need to log into your PINES account before you are able to place a hold. (Click on the “My Account” button in the upper right side of the screen.) Contact your local library with questions or if you need assistance.
Can I apply for a digital card since the libraries are temporarily closed?
You can go online to the Georgia Public Library Service and click on the Apply For A PINES Library Card button. This will take you to the registration screen. From the drop down menu under Home Library, you will select Azalea Regional Library System and your home library. After filling out and submitting the form, contact your home library and a staff member will issue you a temporary digital card number. This will allow you to access all of AZRLS’ online resources and services. Once the libraries reopen, you will have 30 days to visit your home library with proper identification to receive a free PINES library card. The temporary card will expire when the libraries reopen to the public. To read about how PINES benefits Georgians, click here.
Are you accepting donations?
At this time, we are not accepting donations. We are working on a phased recovery plan for our libraries, but have not determined when we will start accepting donations again. Please continue to visit our website and check Member Library Facebook pages for updates. We appreciate your patience during this time.
How do I return borrowed library material/s?
During this time of temporary inside closure, we ask that materials are returned to the outside book deposit drop box. If you have a DVD/CD to return, please contact the library during curbside service hours (above) and arrangements will be made for you to return materials directly to a staff member.
During normal operating hours, please return materials to the circulation desk at any member library. When the library is closed, you may return materials to the book deposit drop box conveniently located in the parking lot of any member library. Please do not place DVDs, CDs or other audio-video material in the book deposit drop box, as items placed on top of fragile cases may cause damage. If you need to return these items, please contact the library to arrange for a special return. You may also return PINES library books to any participating PINES library and the material/s will be routed to the home library.
How do I renew my library material/s?
You can renew your books from home at any time through the PINES online catalog. Most items can be renewed twice, but some items have stricter limitations. Contact your local member library for information regarding check out periods and for specific information regarding borrowing and renewing items.
How do I access my PINES library account?
You can access information about your library account, including what items you currently have checked out, what titles you have on hold, and any fines you owe to the library, by logging into your library account. You will need the barcode number on your PINES library card and PIN.
