Computer reservations are now available by appointment at most of our member libraries. Please contact your local library for more information and availability.
Guidelines and Requirements for Patrons
To schedule an appointment, contact your local library during Curbside Service hours: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri: 10am-5pm; Thurs: 1pm-7pm; Sat: 10am-2pm. Please note: Curbside hours currently vary at member libraries due to staffing constraints. Please see your local library’s web page for more information.
Patrons are required to wear appropriate face masks or face coverings that cover both their nose and mouth at all times, as are children over two (2) years of age. Staff will be wearing protective equipment for patron safety as well as their own.
In an effort to accommodate as many individuals as safely possible, there is a one-hour time limit per appointment. Patrons will be limited to a maximum of two (2) appointments per week at any member library within the Azalea Regional Library System.
Patrons must have a non-expired PINES library card in order to use computers. Contact the local library for instructions on how to apply for a PINES card or apply for a card online: https://gapines.org/eg/opac/register
Patrons must enter and exit promptly on the hour so that other patrons receive their full time. The one (1) hour appointment includes time for settling in and patrons may leave before their time is up if they finish work before the hour is over.
Patrons must stay within their assigned computer workstations designated with colored tape so that areas may be disinfected between users.
Restrooms and water fountains remain CLOSED to the public.
Patrons are not permitted to bring food or drink into the building.
Patrons will need to bring their own headphones and/or supplies.
Patrons should not bring anyone with them to the appointment. If a patron requires help using the computer/completing documents or paperwork, needs to bring one child with them, or has a project that requires another person, they will need to make arrangements with staff when setting up the appointment time.
Upon arrival for the appointment, patrons should call the number on the Curbside Service sign and tell the staff member their name and scheduled computer appointment time. Please be on time. If a patron is more than ten (10) minutes late for an appointment, they will need to reschedule for a different day. Patrons without an appointment will not be permitted inside the library – no exceptions.
If a patron does not have a cell phone to call from the parking lot, they should call the library before leaving for their appointment to provide staff with an approximate time of arrival.
A staff member will motion the patron to the front door. Before entry, patrons will be required to show ID for identity verification. Temperature checks and a screening questionnaire will also be required. Staff will then guide patrons to their designated computer workstation.
Patrons will be given a disinfecting cloth to sanitize their hands (and the hands of their child or second person) at the beginning of the computer session.
Staff are not available to provide one-on-one assistance at this time. They will be able to answer simple questions using the computer’s messaging system or verbally from a safe distance of at least 6ft-8ft.
Printing, copying, and faxing services will be available during computer reservation appointments. Payment must be made with EXACT CHANGE, check, money order, or billed to a valid PINES library card account. Please note: If paying with paper/coin money, patrons will be required to notify staff prior to an appointment and will place payment in an envelope provided at their assigned computer workstation.
